Flight procedures

Considering that the runway is not illuminated and is not associated with radio assistance, flight procedures are allowed only from sunrise to sunset in visual flight rules (VFR). The main activities in our airport are General Aviation, Civil Protection, Parachuting (military and civilian), Flight Schools for private pilot license and gliding.

Rules for airport access

Access to the airport is allowed to all personnel who carry out an activity within the airport, authorized by the competent Authority (Airport Management).
For anyone else in various capacities who needs access to the airport, excluding crews and passengers in transit, must request a specific authorization from the Airport Management.

Airport Regulations

Airport Regulations are all those procedures that regulate airport activities and are coded through specific Service Orders (Temporary or Permanent) or with Internal Circulars issued by the Airport District Management and by the Airport Services Management.
All staff working at the airport are aware of this and must take steps to comply with the rules and procedures collected therein.

The essential airport services are as follows:

ATS Flight Information Service (AFIS);
Weather service (in collaboration with Pisa and Florence airport);
AIS service (planning and presentation of flight plans);
Fire and Rescue Service;
Flight procedures;
Call services;
Handling service.
